About Us

Our heart is to encounter Jesus and His Spirit for the sake of changing everyone’s lives through His love.

The Holy Spirit is just as alive and active today as He was 2,000 years ago, ready to minister to anyone who’s seeking.

At the Lighthouse Church you will experience a family that is dedicated to genuine community built around authentic relationship. We hunger for genuine encounters and believe Jesus desires to use His children to walk out His purposes here on this earth as His hands and feet. We worship every service as one Body to not only get our cups filled up, but to also pour out onto those around us. We’re not a church that will just say we’ll pray for you, but we have a conviction to actually walk that out and proactively pray with you where you’re at, believing for miracles to happen. And through this, we have seen many lives dramatically touched by Jesus, people physically healed, demons delivered, and people set free from generational traumas.

We are a prophetic body of believers that is rooted in the five-fold ministry serving Leesburg, VA. Born out of the Foursquare denomination, we were founded in 2013 with a mission to Discover, Develop and Deploy individuals into the fullness of their callings through the love and power of Christ. Whether you are called to the nations or remain local, you will be encouraged, challenged, trained, and loved into exactly who Jesus wants you to be.

Being a small and humble church, we have a heart for personal ministry both unto the Lord and to each other as the Body of Christ. As Prov. 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another“, we believe that each individual is given spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirt to build up the Body of Christ (Eph. 4:12), and we strive to encourage, exhort and teach each other in unfailing love and patience (2 Tim. 4:2).

How we are fulfilling the Great Commission

Luke 16:15–18

15 He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

Deploying

God’s callings on our lives are placed as such to be a blessing to others, and as we grow in awareness and development of our callings, the Lord will assign us spheres of influence to walk out our giftings for the sake of others. And just as there is a time for every season of life, whether that be healing, discovery, training, or being sent out (Ecc. 3:1), the Lord may use a season to train and equip you, but then send you out, much like how Moses was first trained in Pharaoh’s household, then trained in the dessert, then called to lead the entire nation of Israel. And whether you are called to the Lighthouse Church or somewhere else, we deploy each person in confirmation and blessing to where they are being called.

Discovering

Every person is fearfully and wonderfully created in the image of God. Each individual is created with unique personalities, giftings and callings that are given graciously by the Father for the work of His Kingdom on this earth (Eph. 4:11), but many people are unaware of the unique qualities of heaven that are inside of them. The Apostle Paul states “I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” (Eph. 4:1), but in order to live a life worthy of our callings, we must know who we are as the Father has created us and know what our callings are. There is great joy that comes in walking in the fullness of who we are, and great impact can happen for the Kingdom when done so… Do you know who you are and what ministry of life you are called to?

Developing

Through prayer, anointing, and practice, we can develop and grow in our gifts and callings as we walk with and encourage one another. Romans 12:4-6 says, “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us...” So as we first discover what our gifts are, we then teach and train in how to effectively grow in confidence and purpose, partnered with the Holy Spirit as our teacher and counselor. Are you called to be a prophet? Intercessor? Healer? Worshiper? Teacher? Evangelist? In any of these areas, and more, we can partner with the Spirit to grow in maturity, confidence and effectiveness.

Struggling to live with confidence and joy in a broken and evil world?

Whether from recent circumstances or childhood traumas, we all can be negatively affected by wounds, fears, insecurities, etc. that we consciously or unconsciously harbor, but we believe that Jesus is a healer today just as much as He was 2,000 years ago. Our Heavenly Father sent his wonderful Spirit, the Comforter and Counselor to guide and lead us unto all truth, including what may be hindering us from living in the fullness of Christ. At the Lighthouse Church, we desire for every member to walk in freedom and healing, and have seen many lives completely transformed by the loving touch of our savior over the years. From physical abuse, emotional abuse, spiritual abuse, or sexual abuse, there is hope for healing and redemption no matter the depths of the hurt, and we will walk with everyone gently and by the Spirit to foster healing.

Statements of Faith

Our belief structure stems from the The Foursquare church, which represent the four scriptural roles of Jesus as Savior, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer and Soon-Coming King.
